🎯 Squeeze Sniper: 3 Short Squeeze Setups You Can’t Ignore This Month
Short squeezes are one of the most powerful forces in the stock market — and for traders who know where to look, they can present explosive opportunities in a matter of days. While most retail traders chase squeezes after they hit the headlines, smart traders are hunting them before the breakout. That’s where the Squeeze Sniper Score comes in.
In this post, I’ll show you how I ranked 20 high-short-interest U.S. stocks using a proprietary Squeezability Score out of 100. This scoring system factors in:
Short float %
Days to cover (short ratio)
Relative volume
Revenue surprises
Weekly and monthly performance
Let’s break down how I did it, and then dive into the 3 stocks at the top of the list that could be gearing up for massive upside.
🔬 How I Scored These Stocks
I used data from FinViz and Fintel to compile a custom screener targeting U.S.-based stocks with:
Market cap under $2B
Short float over 20%
High short ratio (aka days to cover)
Recent volume surges
Favorable revenue surprises or price momentum
Then I weighted each factor to build a 100-point Squeezability Score:
25 points – Short Float (% of float sold short)
20 points – Short Ratio (how hard it is for shorts to exit)
15 points – Relative Volume (is interest building?)
10 points – Revenue Surprise (% over/under expectations)
15 points – Weekly Performance
15 points – Monthly Performance
The result? A ranked list of squeeze candidates — with the top 3 below showing the best mix of pressure, momentum, and upside risk.
